Climbing Near Jeddah
I am far from an expert on the Jeddah climbing scene. I lived there very briefly a few years back, and at that time there was really only one established route within easy driving distance. This may have changed since then, and if I find out more information I’ll update this post.
The German Spike
This is a relatively short finger of rock northwest of Jeddah. I won’t say much about it because I’ve never climbed it. I explored the area a bit and found the rock to be generally poor. I know there is a bolted route to the top, but I think it’s only 4 bolts.
I’m sure there is also ample bouldering to the north of Jeddah, but I haven’t really had the opportunity to explore it.
